PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF DEPRESSIVE STATE IN THE MANIFESTATION OF INTERNET ADDICTION

This thesis aims to determine the psychological features of depressive state in the manifestation of internet addiction. In the study, indicators of depressive symptoms, affective regulation, cognitive impairment, and social adjustment are associated with the intensity of internet use. A clinical-psychological approach and psychometric assessment were used as a methodological basis. A scientific novelty is in the integrative interpretation of how the motivational and cognitive mechanisms of depressive state enhance compensatory appeal to the internet.
